Our Team
Michael Harris, MS, MAS
Owner and Lead Statistician
I hold a master's degree in applied statistics from the University of South Carolina, and another master's degree in general psychology from Nova Southeastern University. After graduation, I also completed additional training provided by Johns Hopkins University in clinical trials operations and epidemiology. I currently work as a statistician at the Medical University of South Carolina. My primary area of research centers around the lives of people living with physical disabilities (primarily spinal cord injury). We employ a wide variety of statistical methods to address the issues that concern people living with long-term disability including employment, aging, and health-related outcomes. In addition to my regular job, I make R programming YouTube videos that are based on this website’s content.

I have a master’s degree in experimental psychology and a graduate certificate in applied statistics from the University of South Carolina. I currently work as a data analyst/programmer at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, where I write SQL code to generate ad hoc reports and extract claims data based on detailed reporting needs. My graduate research was in the area of psycholinguistics and involved the use of statistical methods such as negative binomial regression and survival analysis. My background includes experience in statistics, research, and data programming across both academic and applied settings.
